2010 A-Z Challenge

I recently found the 2010 A-Z Challenge over at this blog, and I’m so addicted to reading, I’ve just got to join in! I’m going to try to read a book whose title starts with every letter of the alphabet by the end of 2010. No, I am not insane, thank you for asking! I am just an avid reader, and like having reasons to look for new books.

I am going to back-post a couple books to get started, since it IS March of 2010, but only a few..once you go back more than a few weeks I can’t remember for sure if they were 2009 or 2010, so in the interest of fair play..I’m going to punish myself :-)

Additionally, the rules do not speak to this, so I am declaring that the word “The” starting a title does NOT count as a letter T. Not that many books I read start with “The,” but when I learned to alphabetize we were taught to ignore it, so I’m ignoring it now! Bite Sue me.

After each book I’ll put up a short (I promise!) review in a post, which I’ll link to below. Mostly just an indication of if I recommend it or not and a basic idea of what it’s about. No need to drive away readers (allow me my delusion of the plural). I’m keeping a list of what I’m reading here, so you can come see how many I’ve read and heckle me cheer me on!

A: The Alien, K.A. Applegate

B: The Boy Who Was Raised As A Dog: And Other Stories From a Child Psychiatrists Notebook–What Traumatized Children Can Teach Us About Loss, Love, And Healing, Bruce Perry

This is an awesome idea! Hope you don’t mind if I copy you! lol

    • Go for it! You’ve got even less time than me! I guess I shouldn’t be re-reading books when I’m trying to get through them…but I figure hey, I’m supposed to enjoy reading, anyway!

  2. This is a great idea – I may challenge myself to do something like this too…

  3. Ooh ooh can I make a suggestion? Try the Hunger Games trilogy (Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay) three letters you don’t have done yet and such a good read, promise!
